The required style guide for M. Min. research papers is A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations: Chicago Style for Students and Researchers, 7th edition, by Kate L. Turabian. The required style guide for M. Ed. research papers is Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 5th edition.

New types and forms of sources regularly appear, making the job of assigning standard forms for bibliographic and footnote entries difficult.
