Introducing: ALL IN

Welcome to the 2022-23 academic year at TBC!

Each year the Student Life team (including student leaders, RAs, and staff), discuss and select a theme for the academic year.  This summer, we retired the word “theme” and replaced it with “mission”.  The reason for this is because the word “mission” suggests an expected action, responsibility, and accountability.  We want a mission mindset for our students which motivates them to go all in for the right purpose, with the right people, for the right reasons.

With that in mind, we introduce the mission for TBC’s 2022-23 academic year: “ALL IN”.

ALL IN as a College: An educational institution or establishment, providing higher education or specialized professional or vocational training.

ALL IN as a Community: A group of people with a common characteristic or interest living together within a larger society.

ALL IN as a Culture: The set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution or organization.

The student life team is committed to making daily investments into the lives of our students.

We want the TBC student experience to be a positive, nurturing, and encouraging one.  One where students can be and want to be ALL IN: cultivating a college, community, and culture that reflect God’s hand at work.

Every member of the TBC family has something to contribute, each one uniquely gifted by God.  Please join us in prayer as we begin this new year with renewed energy and excitement!

For us, the semester started two weeks ago.

We have spent that time in mentorship and training with student body officers, student mentors, and RAs (resident advisors) in preparation for new student move-in day tomorrow!

We cannot wait to meet incoming freshmen and their families – welcome to campus!  It is going to be an amazing year!
