TBC Hosts the NE FL Christian Chamber of Commerce Faith and Work Summit
In February, Trinity Baptist College (TBC) hosted the highly anticipated Faith and Work Summit, organized by the NE FL Christian Chamber of Commerce. The event brought together influential thought leaders, business professionals, and non-profit leaders from across the region for a day of inspiration, education, and networking.
Scott Moore, Kara List, Mark Beebe, and Tom Messer were among the keynote speakers and presented thought-provoking sessions on the levels of freedom in the workplace, the importance of personal connection, and how transformed leaders can transform business, respectively.
In addition to the keynote addresses, the summit featured 17 unique breakout sessions designed to inform and engage attendees on subjects ranging from workplace culture and talent development to conflict resolution and how different personalities can strengthen a team. Presenters included four individuals of TBC’s faculty, staff, and board.
Over 40 TBC students and staff took advantage of the opportunity to attend this event. Not only were the various sessions informationally rich, but they also got an inside look at how to navigate their own careers with faith as a guiding principle. Connecting with successful, local, Christian business leaders who have been there, done that, has the potential to shape their professional futures and help them success in a competitive business landscape.
One student noted that while she learned a lot from each session, she was especially struck by the fact that biblical principles are so important and applicable to all areas of social and business life. “It is so interesting how biblical principles of counseling and business overlap – it’s all comes down to caring for the individual.”
