TBC’S Distance Education Poised for Growth

TBC looks to the future with enthusiasm, welcoming the opportunity to serve more students through the growth of their Distance Learning Program.

Known for providing a close-knit experience that prioritizes growth and relationships, TBC extends that personal approach to its Distance Learning Program.   This is accomplished by providing small class sizes led by highly credentialed faculty who believe in whole-student growth and are passionate about providing a higher education with a Biblical Worldview.

Dr. Teresa Dustman has served as TBC’s Distance Education Director since 2017, growing Distance Education to eight fully-online programs. (And more on the way!)

She also developed multiple individual courses to supplement TBC’s Distance Education offerings, was instrumental in growing the pool of online faculty to nearly twice its capacity.  TBC is grateful for her dedication to establishing a strong program and supporting its students.

Dr. Theresa Dustman

This summer, Dr. Dustman is stepping down from her position.

Please join me in expressing our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Dustman for her exemplary service and wishing her all the best as she transitions into a new chapter.

She shares that what she has found most fulfilling on a personal level has been the potential spiritual impact on society through TBC graduates.

“It is always rewarding for me to consider how our students/graduates are impacting society for God’s glory.  As an educator, I have a part in that process. Helping students grow in faith while they master the content in their chosen fields of study is extremely fulfilling.”

As the TBC Distance Education Program transitions into a new season, we welcome Dr. Dugas as the chair of the Master of Education program and Distance Education Coordinator.

Dr. Dugas currently leads and teaches in our Sports Management business degree cognate.

Dr. Philip Dugas

In addition to Dr. Dugas’s current responsibilities, he will take on these new challenges, implementing his knowledge and expertise to continue the growth of the program. Dr. Dugas brings to the table life-long learning experience and credentials (including an M.Ed. and Ed. D.), and an extensive background in online education and online course development.

Dr. Dugas is excited about the prospect of supporting the next generation of students with educational options that fit their needs.

He says that offering online higher education from a Biblical Worldview is of vital importance to today’s student.

He believes that one of the strengths of TBC Distance Education program is “…knowing what you’ll get form a professor.  At other colleges you really don’t know what your professor’s perspective or stance is going to be on anything. Here, you can expect to share core values that align with Biblical truth.”

His deep commitment to online education combined with his dedication to an educational environment grounded in Biblical truth makes him the perfect candidate to lead our Distance Education Program into the future.

Students currently enrolled in TBC’s Distance Education Program can expect to hear from Dr. Dugas soon.

There will be no interruptions in online course offerings and currently enrolled students can look forward to a year of educational excellence.
