Dr. Dugas is our Acting Department Chair and Program Director for Sport Management. He also works in our athletic department to ensure our student-athletes at TBC are successful in the classroom. Dr. Dugas has over 17 years of experience in education, athletics, coaching, and scouting.

Dr. Dugas grew up in Easley, SC and attended North Greenville University, where garnered academic honors in each of his three years as student-athlete. While at NGU, Dr. Dugas was a founding member of the Sport Management Society and active in the baseball ministry each summer. After graduating with Honors from NGU, Dugas spent spring training in the Golden Baseball League, an independent league based in California.

Dr. Dugas completed his master’s degree in Physical Education from Florida State University and was actively involved in the athletic department. He completed a second master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education, and his doctorate, with highest honors, from the United States Sports Academy in Sport Administration. As a life long learner, Dr. Dugas is currently enrolled in an MBA Data Analytics Program at Southern New Hampshire University

Dr. Dugas and his wife of 15 years, Terri, have a daughter, Peyton (13), and a son, Parker (10), who are actively involved in volleyball, baseball, basketball, and church youth group. His wife is a teacher with Florida Virtual School. In his spare time, you can find Dr. Dugas in the gym or at the fields watching his kids. He also enjoys weightlifting, cycling, traveling, the Atlanta Braves, and the Florida State Seminoles!
