Dr. Christmas Named Vice President of Academic Affairs

Trinity Baptist College is pleased to announce that Dr. Adam Christmas has been promoted to become the corporation’s Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Dr. Christmas has served as the institution’s Chief Academic Officer since the departure of his predecessor, and he continues to provide the college with outstanding academic leadership.  His extensive experience in academia, coupled with his unwavering commitment to the college and its values, makes him the ideal person to lead our academic achievements into the future.

Dr. Christmas has a deep-rooted connection to Trinity Baptist College.

While pursuing his undergraduate education at the college, he actively contributed to the college’s mission by serving in TBC’s various ministries and in student leadership roles such as Society Chaplain, Student Body Vice President, and ultimately as Student Body President. His leadership during his early years on campus set the stage for his continued contributions to the college.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Christmas pursued his passion for academic excellence by earning his master’s degree and, subsequently, his Ph.D. from Carolina University. His commitment to theological and biblical studies was evident early in his career, and he returned to Trinity Baptist College in the fall of 2011 to accept a full-time teaching position. Since then, Dr. Christmas has made significant contributions as a Faculty Dean and Professor of Biblical Studies.

Dr. Christmas’s dedication to teaching is exemplified by his impressive record in the classroom.

He has consistently provided students with a rich educational experience, offering courses in the Old Testament, New Testament, and theology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. His teaching methods and genuine rapport with students earned him the esteemed ‘Teaching Excellence Award,’ a recognition he received in both 2013 and 2018.

Furthermore, Dr. Christmas has extended his expertise beyond the classroom by serving on dissertation committees and sharing his knowledge with students abroad, including a teaching assignment at a university in the Middle East.

Recently the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) appointed Dr. Christmas as a Peer Evaluator for colleges desiring their first accreditation or ten-year reaffirmation.

Chairman Messer and President Heavener are pleased to announce that Dr. Adam Christmas will continue making contributions to excellence in education as the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer. With his deep ties to the Trinity communities, outstanding academic achievements, and commitment to our TBC mission, Dr. Christmas embodies the values and vision of Trinity Baptist College.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Christmas on this well-deserved promotion.

His leadership will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success of Trinity Baptist College and the academic growth of our students.
